At Acadiana reading center, we use the Barton Reading and Spelling system. The Barton System is an Orton gillingham-influenced, structured literacy approach proven to help students with dyslexia improve reading and spelling.
Tutoring Services
Mrs. Missy is Certified in the Orton Gillingham-based Barton Reading and Spelling System. This is a great multi-sensory, structured literacy tutoring program. Barton works for children, teenagers or adults who are struggling with spelling, reading, and writing. Tutoring can be conducted as listed below:

Private one-on-one tutoring sessions (two hours per week minimum)

Remote tutoring in Barton (via web-based application)
ArC Academy
Our homeschool program strives to provide exactly what each individual student needs. We use a variety of curriculums such as Math-u-see, Barton Reading and Spelling System, Bob Jones, Spectrum Reading, English, and Vocabulary just to name a few.

Our classes meet 8:00-2:00 Monday- Thursday. (Willing to work around other schedules).

Accommodations are welcomed. By this we mean, if any accommodations are needed as per medical diagnosis or per parents suggestion we will work to make this happen.
